HFO Refrigerant Tank Level Measurement Application

  • The installation location: Kuwait
  • Liquid Media: HFO (Hydrofluoroolefin)
  • Tank shape: Vertical Tank
  • Measuring equipment: Non-invasive Level Gauge

In this application – hfo refrigerant tank level measurement, the liquid media HFO is Hydrofluoroolefin, a kind of refrigerant, not its common short name as “Heavy Fuel Oil”.

HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) is the fourth generation of fluorine-based gases. HFC refrigerants are composed of hydrogen, fluorine and carbon atoms connected by single bonds between the atoms. HFO refrigerants are composed of hydrogen, fluorine and carbon atoms but contain at least one double bond between the carbon atoms.

In Kuwait, our customers finally select the non-invasive level gauge as the level solution for measuring their HFO refrigerant tank.

The Non-invasive Ultrasonic Level Gauge is installed and applied on an HFO refrigerants vertical tank. Tank height 5000mm, diameter: 2300mm.

The bottom of the tank is curved, which brings difficulties in installing the measuring(MEA) sensor. If the sensor failed to be completely perpendicular to the liquid surface, the level result would be highly influenced.

SKE’s unique incline sensor probe helps customers solve this problem.
